ExtraRenamer is a program that was designed to help you rename various files and folders. In addition to this, it is able to change various ID3 tags for MP3 files. The application promises a lot but delivers so little. It was created to offer an easy way of renaming files, but comes with many flaws (mainly regarding the program interface). Although its developers claim that this version of ExtraRenamer comes with an improved interface, it should be mentioned that it doesn't work as expected.
A very annoying aspect that I want to mention is related to the graphical interface of ExtraRenamer. If the main window of the program stays minimized more than a minute, it becomes impossible for the user to restore it back. Closing the program by using Task Manager might be necessary. Also, the interface is crowded with a lot of unnecessary options for renaming files.
You would expect from this application to offer an easy way of renaming files or changing ID3 tags. But while I was testing it, the program repeatedly failed to rename a bunch of photos. The same thing can be said about changing music tags. Also, the application comes with no settings or customization options. I consider this to be a great drawback.
To conclude with, there are other application for this purpose that I recommend you to try.
